THE OXONIAE PHOTOGRAPHAE: A CELEBRATION OF GLORIOUS NOTHING!

The Oxoniae Photographae is a multidisciplinary art installation mainly comprised of medium format analog photography, painting, and sculpture, accompanied by a book of poetry and photography (the Abridged Oxoniae Photographae is now on sale here.) Including a photography gallery of over 500 images, including many visually stunning multiple-exposures, this work expresses the twisted labyrinth of the Academy, through the psycho-geographies held in its rusticated concrete. Using the technique of multiple exposure photography, the images evoke the matriculating ghosts whose presence is constant in the shifting antiquity of this dreamscape still soaked in the bloodshed of empire and its tentacular colonies.

This installation is intended to bridge the theatrical feature films Body Prop (Numb Spiral 3) with Commodity Trading: Dies Irae (Numb Spiral 4). Images from the Oxoniae Photographae have been exhibited internationally including at the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford.
